Upcoming Events

• Stake Temple Recommend Interviews: The stake presidency will conduct temple recommend interviews from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m June 7th, 14th and 28th.

  • •  No appointments are needed, except for first-time recommends or weddings. Those appointments should be made with Executive Secretary Andy Johnson at 801-550-8559. Please come to the stake center and wait in the chapel, where a stake presidency member will come and get you.

• Fast Sunday — Sunday, June 7th

• Seminary Graduation — Sunday, June 7th. We will be holding seminary graduation in the cultural hall of the stake center. Come in Sunday dress, but expect a more casual environment as we celebrate our graduating seniors.

• Stake Bishop’s Council — 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11th.

• Stake Primary Activity — 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13th. We invite Primary children from across the stake to join us at the stake bowery for a special activity.

• Stake High Council Meeting — 7:00 a.m. Sunday, June 14th, in the stake High Council room.

• Sunday School Presidency Training — 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14th, in the Relief Society room of the stake center.

• Stake Missionary Coordination Meeting — 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16th, in the stake High Council room. This meeting is for full-time missionaries, high councilors with missionary and temple assignments, a member of the stake relief society presidency and the stake presidency.

• Stake Youth Conference — Thursday to Saturday, June 18-20th.

• Deseret Soap Welfare Assignment— We have been asked to assist with production at the Deseret Soap Plant. We could use help from the Taylorsville, Utah, 17th Ward and Wheatland Park Ward to fulfill this assignment. Deseret Soap is located at 3602 S. 7200 West. Here are the details.

  • 11:45 a.m. to 3:45 a.m. Thursday, June 18th — Taylorsville 17th Ward — 5 volunteers

  • 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1st — Wheatland Park Ward — 5 volunteers

• Stake Bingo Night — 5 p.m. Thursday, June 18th, in the cultural hall of the stake center. This activity is for adults 55+. Expect a potato bar, bingo cards, and prizes.

• Single Adult Summer Party (46+ Adults) — 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20th, at the church park located at 4845 S. Woodhaven Drive in Taylorsville. Please send this registration link to your ward so we can make sure to have enough BBQ for everyone. Click here to RSVP. Expect performances, games and plenty of food.

• Father’s Day — Sunday, June 21st.

• Temple Landscaping Assignment — Our stake has been asked to provide groundskeeping and landscaping for the Taylorsville Temple this month. We invite the following wards to help with this assignment.

  • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23rd — Taylorsville 23rd Ward — 3 volunteers

  • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25th — Taylorsville 26th Ward — 3 volunteers

• Stake Council Meeting — 7:00 a.m. Sunday, June 28th, in the stake High Council room.

• YSA Family Home Evenings: Family Home Evenings are held weekly for the young single adults in our stake. Those attending the Taylorsville YSA Ward meet Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at 3120 W. 4700 S. Those attending the Granger YSA Ward meet Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at 4586 W. Woodbury Circle.
