Upcoming Events

• • Stake Temple Recommend Interviews: The stake presidency will conduct temple recommend interviews from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on September,  8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th.

    •  No appointments are needed, except for first-time recommends or weddings. Those appointments should be made with Executive Secretary Andy Johnson at 801-550-8559. Please come to the stake center and wait in the chapel, where a member of the stake presidency will come and get you.

  • Self Reliance Devotional: This stake-wide devotional will kick off a class called “Finding Strength In The Lord,” which is meant to provide support and strength for members as they encounter various challenges in their lives, whether those challenges involve financial situations, marriage relationships, mental health or other difficult circumstances. The devotional begins at 6 p.m. Sunday, September 15th, in the stake center chapel.

  • Stake Primary Fireside for Children and Youth: Friday, September 20th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Stake Bowery. This fireside is for all Primary children ages 8-11.

  • Stake Youth Council: Sunday, September 22nd at 2:30 p.m. in the Stake High Council Room.

  • Stake Neighborhood Social: Saturday, September 28th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • Stake Youth Combined Activity: Wednesday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at the Stake Center.

  • General Conference: Saturday and Sunday, October 5-6.

  • Taylorsville Temple Landscaping: We have the opportunity to care for the Taylorsville Temple grounds this fall. To do so, we need volunteers from each ward to help us fulfill the assignment. All assignments will run from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Volunteers must be 18 or older and have the physical capacity to bend, lift, dig, and kneel during the shift. The temple is asking volunteers to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Gardening gloves and a hat are encouraged. On the day of their assignment, volunteers will meet in the southeast corner of the underground parking garage by three roll-up doors. We would like to invite the following wards to provide volunteers:

    • Monday, October 14 – Taylorsville 26th Ward (4 volunteers), Taylorsville 18th Ward (4 volunteers)

    • Tuesday, October 15 – Taylorsville 16th Ward (4 volunteers), Taylorville 25th Ward (4 volunteers)

    • Wednesday, October 16 – Taylorsville 12th Ward (4 volunteers), Taylorsville 2nd Branch (4 volunteers)

    • Thursday, October 17 – Taylorsville 17th Ward (4 volunteers), Taylorsville 11th Ward (4 volunteers)

    • Friday, October 18 – Taylorsville 23rd Ward (8 volunteers)

    • Tuesday, October 29 – Taylorsville 26th Ward (4 volunteers), Taylorsville 12th Ward (4 volunteers)

    • Thursday, October 31 – Taylorsville 16th Ward (4 volunteers), Taylorsville 17th Ward (4 volunteers)
